Student Life

Mater Dei Academy students are empowered to grow spiritually, academically and socially through worship, a challenging curriculum, service and extracurricular activities.

Students have a variety of extracurricular activities to choose from:

CYO sports:  football, flag football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, boys volleyball, track/field, and cheerleading

Clubs: Drama, Art, Skiing,  Sci-Fi, Math,  Student Ambassadors, Student Government, Lego Robotics, Chess, Band, Choir, and Guitar

Mass Assistants: Altar Servers, Lectors, Choir, Gift Bearers

Annual Traditions:  Jr. High Science Fair, Ohio Invention League Invention Convention, National Spelling Bee, National Geography Bee, Pay it Forward

Field Trips:  Historically our students have participated in a variety of field trips

                      8th grade – Washington D.C. 

                      7th grade – Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

                       6th grade – Camp Christopher, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery

                       4th & 5th grade – Columbus

                       3rd Grade – Playhouse Square, Science Center, Natural History Museum, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

                       K – 2nd Grade – Lake Metroparks Farmpark, Playhouse Square

                       PK – Jerry’s Dari-Pride
