Philosophy

My role as an art educator is to create a learning environment that supports respect, community and creative minds.  I believe that artistic expression is a powerful way for people to witness the creation of God that is all around us, and that this is an important skill for our young students to be taught.

I am truly blessed to be a part of the MDA community.  Not only are the staff supportive in the Arts, but the families are as well.  I also appreciate how creative my students are.

Philosophy
Education is a lifelong process. We can all learn something new every day. I hope to broaden my students’ knowledge and always keep learning myself.

Mater Dei truly offers opportunities for every child to learn and grow in the ways that are best for them; we have a caring staff and they encourage each child to shine in their own special way.

Philosophy

My philosophy of education is that all of God’s creations are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and most importantly spiritually.  It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.  I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.  Students will be challenged each class and will receive the tools needed to not only be successful in academics, but as contributing adults throughout their life.

By the end of the year, students will grow with the love of learning and a growing desire to pursue a life of service in society as I strive to connect my students to God and Help them to build an unfailing connection and belief in Him.

Philosophy

As a retired Intervention Specialist, I always focus on the child first and challenges or disabilities later.  All children learn and I need to support them where they are.

I am looking forward to sharing my love of books and literature with the students of MDA!
