PHilosphy

I believe first grade is about building strong foundations—not only in reading and math, but also in faith, kindness, responsibility, and confidence. I want my students to know that it is okay to make mistakes, that effort matters, and that they are capable of accomplishing great things.

Faith is an important part of all I do. I strive to help my students grow closer to Jesus and recognize His love in their lives.

After years of teaching, I have learned that children may not always remember every lesson we teach, but they will remember how we made them feel. My greatest hope is that my students leave first grade knowing they are loved by God, believing in themselves, caring for others, and carrying a lifelong love of learning with them.

MDA has given me so many wonderful memories, relationships, and opportunities to make a difference. I am grateful every day to be part of this community. MDA is not just where I work—it is where I am meant to be.
