Meet our new MDA Administrator – Fr. Greg Olzsewski

Hello Everybody!

On September 15th I was appointed Administrator of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and along with that comes the title of President of Mater Dei Academy! I am so incredibly blessed to be taking on these new roles.

I have been at OLMC for the past three and half years and have heard many great things about the vibrant school community of MDA. We have many dedicated teachers that are wearing many hats this year to ensure your children are receiving the best education while also ensuring they are safe as we are still in the mist of the pandemic.

I ask for your prayers and support as I become familiar with everyone that helps to keep MDA moving forward in a positive direction. I also ask for your prayers as I continue to wrestle with some health issues. These, however, do not deter me from doing all I can to safeguard our moving forward.

I am working to assemble a solid formal financial and school governance team, a fundraising team that focuses on a multi-tiered approach to raising funds, and we will formulate a path for advancement to increase our enrollment. We have an open house already scheduled for October 20th. We will also be open as a CYO host site starting with the basketball season that will kick off soon.

I will do my best to be visible during the school day and at school events sponsored by our PTU and CYO Boosters. I know it is important for our students to see me more than just once a week at their school Mass. My hope is to be an active participant in the vibrant school community of MDA.

Thank you to the staff of MDA who work very hard every day, to the parents and families that make financial sacrifices to send their students to MDA and to the countless volunteers that give up their free time to MDA. I am already blessed by your commitment to our school. I promise I will be just as committed to MDA’s future success.

Peace and God bless,

Fr. Greg Olszewski
