Grandparent Reading Program

The Grandparent Reading Program has kicked off their first year with Mater Dei Academy.  We have grandparents of Mater Dei Academy students as well as grandparent volunteers from Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parishes.   The grandparents come in weekly to read with students on an individual basis or in a group atmosphere.  They work alongside the students to help with reading levels as well as comprehension.  They also tutor students who need a little extra help in a particular subject.  What a wonderful asset to our school!
